Indian Ocean P&I Club Association of Ceylon

Indian Ocean P&I Club Association of Ceylon has been created by members of the Asian ship owning Community. Having been incorporated in Sri Lanka as Company limited by Guarantee. Indian Ocean P&I Club Association of Ceylon offers its subscribing members to the mutual fund Protection and Indemnity protection. Indian Ocean P&I Club Association of Ceylon is very proud to be the first Asia Subcontinent domiciled P&I Shipping Mutual.

Management

The Indian Ocean P & I Club Management (Pvt) Ltd was formed in 2010, being the first South Asian P&I Club, focusing entirely on the interests of South and South East Asian ship - owners. With its members engaged in regional trade including the GCC, India, South Asia and the Far East.

Specialises in worldwide tanker trade with a preference for members operating outside segregated cargo trade.

Governance

The Indian Ocean P&I Club Association of Ceylon is structured on Articles of Association which follow standard format of P&I Club throughout the world. Indian Ocean P&I Club Association of Ceylon has been incorporated under the Sri Lanka’s Companies Act 2007, as “Company Limited by Guarantee” and has obtained all necessary approvals from the Registrar of Companies and Regulators, being Central Bank of Sri Lanka and requisite exemptions from the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka.
